Straight Out of the Sixties!
Gadow proudly introduces our newest guitar: The Monterey. We decided to call this the Monterey in tribute to the sixties Monterey music scene – the unique tone, the focus on guitars (especially when on fire), and generally the beauty and unique feel of the central California coast.
We started with your choice of swamp ash or alder body.
For electronics, we provide a 5-way pickup selector with two knobs: one for volume, one for tone. This makes for a clean, simple design. The body shape remains pure Gadow with its carves and curves. All standard Gadow finish and pick guard options are available for the Monterey. A Hipshot bridge completes the body detail.
With the Monterey, we’ve introduced different neck dimensions. In keeping with the vintage tradition, we incorporate a 25 ½” scale length, and use a 1 11/16” bone nut. At Gadow Guitars we’re always refining our instruments, always looking to break the mold ans improve upon our designs.
And, of course, we hand craft these instruments in Durham, NC, with the finest legally obtained woods.
