Hello.  Just discovered Gadow guitars recently.  Played guitar on and off for 22 years.  Started to take it seriously again a year ago and am loving it!  Haven't bought a guitar since 1988 and am looking to buy a couple nice electrics in the near future.  Have been doing my research of what's out there over the last year or so.  No Gadow dealers here in Chicago for test drives but based on what I've been reading about Gadow I feel confident it's the real deal and I like the approach they're taking to their builds.  I am also a fan of Heritage and G&L, too, as well as a few individual Luthiers out there (CP Thornton, Ron Kirn and Kurt Wilson).

Looking forward to digging into the past posts here and learning more.

Scott, I own/owned a few G&L's and I can say for sure that Gadow is on par or greater than G and L in reguards to craftmanship and tone.

Ryan, thanks for the welcome.  It hardly needs to be said that it is extremely cool to have the Chief involved in the discussion around here but I'll say it anyway: It is extremely cool:  afro

Cole, thanks for the guage there.  Even though I've only recently found out about Gadow I've been reading as much as I can find feedback wise about people's impressions and calling dealers to talk Gadow and am impressed on those accounts alone, not to mention the other things that I've liked so far about Gadow, as well.  What Gadow model(s) do you have, Cole?

I first saw Gadow when I was checking out Valvetrain amp demos and saw Erik Halbig playin' these different looking guitars.  Then on a youtube search came across Erik demoing a couple Gadows, which I recognized from his Valvetrain demos.  So I checked it out and have been drawn in.

I think if you have the opportunity to play one of Ryan's guitars you will be very happy!
I have a Nashville and a Classic Hollow and they excell in just about all situations.
And as you have already found out, Ryan's 100% personal involvement makes it evan better.

For what it's worth, my main strat was my 1987 G&L USA Legacy until I learned about Gadow guitars.  The G&L was replaced by my Gadow Monterey.  I also have a Gadow Classic Set Neck with P90s on it that I love!!!  I can't say enough good things about Gadow guitars.

I don't know about that last part. Smiley

I'm not sure if anyone here on the forum is from Chi-town to let you give their's a whirl.  If
you find yourself in the neighborhood of Pittsburgh, you're welcome to give my CH a try.
