We are starting on a cool HB for Tom...here is the start of his neck.....solid Rosewood with Ebony fingerboard. I'll let him tell you the specs.

They have to be deep so that you still have room to straighten the fingerboard..which usually takes off about .015"

Here is a photo of the basic cutting done on Tom's guitar....its a Flame maple top with Korina back....the pickup config is going to be hum / single / hum.
