John Scott here - newest crew member on the good ship Gadow. It's been a busy 4 weeks of getting up to speed on various aspects of Gadow bizz and I've been meaning to dive into the forum.

I've know Ryan for several years, ever since purchasing Custom Hollow #5 from him way back in 2002, when he was but a humble one-man shop with a dream...( I know what you're thinking, Oh crap, here we go  <CUT ... cue strings .... we pan in from overhead on a shot of smiling, flag waving children as a pompous grinning announcer belts out ".... a mere 3 years later, the Gadow juggernaut is full speed ahead, cutting a swath through an unsuspecting guitar world!  From dealers and customers to magazines and touring pros the buzz is brewing up big for the boys n' girl at Gadow!  -  smash zoom on announcers sparkling tooth, as it illuminates a giant Gadow logo.... music up & out>

Well fear not, no TV style relentless promotion from me.... anymore.  I spent 16 years as a composer & studio guitarist, first in Boston then LA, writing & producing the soundtracks to 300+
TV spots and network promo packages. Countless hours in studios on both coasts with all kinds of clients in various stages of relapse or recovery. The best part of it all was always the guitars.

Writin' parts for guitars, playin'em, recordin'em, buyin'em, sellin'em and just plain diggin'em.

When I got my Custom Hollow I thought, wow, this Ryan guy has a great idea here and, badaboom, I'm now on board to help grow his bizzness in anyway I can. Officially I am both a Marketing guy - taking care of existing dealers /customers, seeking new ones, launching new products (more on that later!) - and an Operations guy - addressing day to day needs within the shop so Ryan, Stike, Dave, Tim and Lil' Dave can focus all their energy on building guitars.... instead of phone calls, shipping, etc.

There are lots of changes afoot right now in Gadowland. We are re-tooling and refocusing our production, including some CNC programming and we are rolling out a new Nashville for 2006.

Our vintage set-neck is also slated for production in the next 2 months. I'll keep you posted on all fronts.

In the meantime, any and all questions are welcome at -  john@gadowguitars.com.  Consider me the information desk going forward, if I don't know the answer, I'll find it for you.
